Gujarati folk singers raise Rs 2.5 crore for Ukrainian refugees in US

People worldwide have stood in solidarity with Ukrainians since Russia invaded their country. Millions of people have donated and raised donations to help the Ukrainians who have been forced to evacuate their war-torn homeland. Two Gujarati folk singers are now receiving praise online for generating a large sum of money.

Dollar bills start showering down on them as they enthrall the audience, to the point that the stage is flooded with cash.

The musicians were in Dallas earlier this week for a musical event called Lok Dayro, part of their primary musical tour in the United States, which the Manpasand group organized. Videos and images of ecstatic NRIs dumping wads of cash on the two Gujarati musicians have gone viral on the internet.

Rabari turned to social media after the videos went viral to declare that one of their events in the United States, organized by the Surat Leuva Patel Samaj (SLPS), raised $3,30,000. (nearly Rs 2.5 crore). “Manpasand group & we are delighted to be part of this great cause,” Rabari posted on Instagram, referring to the aid given to Ukrainians fleeing their homeland amid fierce shelling.
Rabari’s latest images from Atlanta, Georgia, displayed a similar sight to their Dallas contribution. Rabari posted photos on Instagram of herself and Jadhav seated among massive sums of cash notes strewn across the stage.
Charity concerts are being held worldwide to aid victims of humanitarian crises, with musicians utilizing their ability to persuade people to donate to the cause. Pop singers like Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello recently performed in the United Kingdom to raise money, raising £12.2 million.
