The fourth season of the MG Developer Program and Grants will focus on significant EV solutions

This event attracted an array of industry thought leaders.

MG and its consortium members are requesting ideas for the EV ecosystem under the theme “Electric Mobility Innovate for India.”

MG Motor India and its consortium partners have launched the fourth season of the Developer Program & Grant with ‘Innovation’ as a brand pillar (MGDP).

This curriculum will allow you to learn, create, and provide solutions for the automotive industry.

This event attracted an array of industry thought leaders. Key among the notable attendees were Ms. Astha Grover, Head of Startup India, Mr. Anant Nahata, Managing Director of Exicom; Dr. BK Panigrahi, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART), IIT Delhi; Ms. Mahua Acharya, MD, and CEO – Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL)

Mr. Rakesh Verma, Chairman of MapMyIndia; Dr. Rashi Gupta, Founder, and Managing Director of Vision Mechatronics Private Ltd; Mr. Sandeep Bangia, Chief Operating Officer of Electric Mobility, Jio-bp (Reliance BP Mobility Limited) and Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, President of Fortum India.

Electric vehicles are gaining centre stage, therefore this year’s MG Developer Program will focus on growing the innovation platform for startups, developers, and innovators, in keeping with the theme “Electric Mobility Innovate for India.”

This will not only enable the development of new applications and experiences across the entire EV ecosystem, but it will also provide opportunities for solutions and innovative insights in Charging infrastructure, fleet management, electric components, electric batteries, green energy solutions, EV battery life cycle management, connected automobile solutions, and BaaS are examples of such sectors.

“MGDP Season 4 aspires to support a positive transformation in the market by creating a venue for EV entrepreneurs from around the country to cooperate and develop unique solutions, This is a forum that aims to bring together the brightest minds in the business to collaborate on innovative ideas that have the potential to revolutionise the EV landscape. We believe that this platform will inspire many more similar initiatives in the industry, allowing for an effective and substantive EV-focused conversation to continue. We believe that by doing so, we will be able to create an environment in which talent, innovation, and technology can all thrive.”

Furthermore, it will encourage the creation of novel concepts in the Indian automobile sector, resulting in greater advancement and growth. “Through this programme, we want to discover some novel answers.”

MGDP is a one-of-a-kind project of the carmaker meant to encourage mobility engineers to keep on top of evolving technologies by providing high-level mentoring.

It has evolved as one of the industry’s primary mentoring programs, inviting innovators and startups to join MG and its consortium partners in shaping a better future for the auto industry through technologies that provide thrilling experiences every time.

The programme provides specialised, high-level mentoring and networking opportunities to help with the practical creation of the solution, business plan and modelling, testing facilities, go-to-market strategy, and other aspects.

Winning concepts will also be eligible for pilot projects, purchase orders, or a grant, the amount of which will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the jury.
The programs attracted entries from over 830 auto-tech start-ups in its past three iterations. MG and its consortium members identified, encouraged, and mentored approximately 180 businesses, including Koinearth, Electreefi, Voxomos, Redbot Technologies, and Mihup, to research and create applications in connected automotive technology, futuristic technologies, and CaaP. (Car-as-a-Platform).
The carmaker has teamed with Invest India and Startup India as lead partners, and Jiobp, Exicom, Fortum, CESL, Attero, MapmyIndia, and Bosch as technology partners for MGDP Season 4.0.
