In the presence of several renowned yoga gurus and experts, the Yoga Institute, Mumbai, honoured the birthday of its world-known Director, Dr. Hansaji Yogendra, at the institute grounds today with a heart-warming classical voice recital by Padma Shree awardee Shri Suresh Wadkar.
This will be followed by a free Yoga camp for women at the institute this evening to honour and celebrate Dr. Hansaji’s principles and aspirations.

The festivities honour Hansaji’s lifelong contributions to the growth and development of Yoga, as well as her selfless, lifelong service to society.
“I am honoured to have been a part of Dr. Hansaji Yogendra’s 75th birthday festivities, I’ve always admired Dr. Hansaji’s work in the field of Yoga, and my performance today was a little tribute to her efforts. I have had a strong emotional connection with The Yoga Institute Mumbai since my first visit.”remarked Shri Suresh Wadkar.
“Yoga has always been relevant, from antiquity to present, as it meets people’s bodily and mental well-being needs across generations,”Dr. Hansaji Yogendra remarked.
“Yoga has taught us the value of moderation and balance in life, Yoga is a companion, philosopher, and guide that helps everyone decrease the impacts of stress and concern and enables people to live well-rounded, cohesive, and enjoyable lives.”she said, adding,
