Ceremony of Haldi Katrina Kaif Dressed in a Sabyasachi Lehenga

Katrina Kaif wore outfits from celebrity favorite Sabyasachi for her wedding festivities. The actress, who transmitted the Internet into a frenzy on Saturday by sharing stunning photos of herself and her husband Vicky Kaushal from their Haldi ceremony, wore an ivory organdy Sabyasachi lehenga with an organza dupatta to the event.

Sabyasachi also designed Katrina’s jewelry. Anaita Shroff Adajania, Katrina’s friend and stylist who styled her for her Haldi ceremony, revealed details about her outfit. She also wished the actress the following: “Pure joy and love! These are the moments when our hearts are whole. My darlings Katrina and Vicky joined me for the Haldi ceremony.”

Vicky’s post includes a photo of father Sham Kaushal applying turmeric to his arms while still wearing a kurta. Later, the actor takes off his shirt and rubs turmeric all over his body as his friends pour a bucket of water over him. He strikes a blue-toned pose as he sits calmly beneath the gushing water. Katrina can also be seen rubbing turmeric into his cheeks. Vicky’s mother, Veena, is shown in Katrina’s post applying turmeric to her cheek. In one of the images, the actor is showered with rose petals while displaying her henna design.

There’s also a photo of Katrina and her mother, Suzanne Turquotte, sitting together, with her sister holding a pink dupatta over their heads. Sunny Kaushal, Vicky’s brother, can be seen cheering them on. On Saturday, the actress’ sister Isabelle shared photos of herself having a good time with her brother-in-law Vicky Kaushal at the Haldi ceremony. Isabelle’s post came just minutes after Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif wowed the Internet with stunning photos of themselves from their Haldi ceremony. Isabelle can be seen applying haldi to Vicky Kaushal in the first photo, while the actor and Katrina Kaif are smeared with Haldi and smiling for the camera in the second. Isabelle Kaif captioned the photos she shared: “Full of joy and fun. My cheeks were still swollen from smiling so much.”

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal also wore Sabyasachi gowns on their wedding day. On December 9, Vicky and Katrina married at the Six Senses Fort Barware in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. A Haldi, sangeet, and wedding ceremony were all part of the three-day event. The heavily guarded gala, which included filmmaker Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur, and others, drew around 120 guests. Sabyasachi shared details about the actress’s bridal lehenga: “Katrina Kaif looks stunning in a traditional Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tile work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. Her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade Kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold to pay homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots.
Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery’s bespoke bridal jewelry of uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand-strung pearls is paired with the lehenga.” Vicky Kaushal wore an ivory silk sherwani with “intricate Maori embroidery, and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons” to her wedding. He rounded out her ensemble with a silk kurta and churidar. Sabyasachi wrote about his outfit in greater detail: “The shawl is made of tussar georgette and has zari maroon embroidery on the pallu and borders. Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery’s gold Benarasi silk tissue sofa is paired with a handcrafted killing and statement necklace studded with emeralds, brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz, and tourmalines in 18k gold.”
