UI/UX as a future career?

A creative mind, a good eye for visuals, a sense of human-computer psychology, and technical skills are all you need to become a UI/UX designer. So, what are UI and UX designs?

User Interface Design (UI) is a part of User Experience Design (UX) design. They both are related to each other but are not the same. As a UI designer, one must make sure that the designs made for the software are understandable and easy to access. Then what is UX design? Well, UX design is all about what the user thinks or feels. It means designing for the user’s experience. UI and UX design help design products, desktops, websites, and mobile applications.

Design works on principles and is used to represent their high-level concepts efficiently. Some important principles are Clarity, Hierarchy, Flexibility, Negative space, Familiarity, User control, etc. for UI design and usability testing, accessibility testing, consistency, typography, etc. for UX designs.

What people often question is, what’s the difference between UI and UX design? The answer is that they both are interdependent. UI deals with visual aspects like color, alignment, and designs that would attract the target audience. While UX focuses on making design according to the user’s mind.

A successful career in UI/UX means having these three qualities- understanding the business context, their expectations, and the usability of the user. Today, all the firms and companies are dependent on websites and apps for their brand identity.

It will keep growing in the future as everything is turning to digital platforms making UI/UX a growing career option. UI and UX design are both leading positions in technology. They are helpful in each step and companies have been hiring for this position making it a worthwhile career.
