A passenger is thrown between a moving train and a platform on 28 February, 2022

The train came to a complete stop, and the man was able to stand up unharmed.

The Ministry of Railways published a video on Twitter of a passenger slipping between a platform and a moving train while alighting at Gujarat’s Surat railway station.

The 13-second video clip of the incident on February 28 at 8:38 a.m. showed other pssengers gathered to help the man.

“In an attempt to get down from a moving train at Gujarat’s Surat railway station, a guy was dragged between the platform and train,” the Railways Ministry added in a Twitter thread in Hindi. On the other hand, the train manager quickly engaged the emergency brake, averting a terrible accident/tragedy.”

The video, posted on March 1, has been seen over 12,000 times. Some people proposed that reckless riders are fined, and announcements are made in trains, while others praised the railway employees for saving the guy. “Irresponsible passengers getting off or alighting the train when it has already moved should be charged a fine of 5000rs or one day in jail to keep them aware and delay train timings,” one user said. “Very good work by Rly Personnel,” another user said.
