North Korea conducted its most giant intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test on Thursday. The country released a Hollywood-style film starring leader Kim Jong-un to commemorate the occasion.
North Korean state television aired a propaganda video in which Kim is seen supervising the country’s latest missile launch, making a grand entrance a la thriller films – wearing a black leather jacket coat and aviator glasses.
Kim Jong is seen walking, looking at his watch, and taking off his sunglasses in the video. Dramatic music and glamour shots of the Hwasong-17 missile were added to the clip leading up to the 10-second countdown to launch.
According to The Washington Post, the television announcer added, “According to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, this was another amazing victory for the safety of our homeland and the eternal well-being of all descendants, despite all types of difficulties and trials.”
