People praised the forest authorities for acting quickly as the video went viral.

When an adult elephant became lost in a wetland near Gudalur, Nilgiris, its weight prevented it from escaping on its own.

While the forest is their domain, it is unusual for wild animals to get into mischief in the jungle. The most recent incident involved an elephant that became entangled in a wetland in Tamil Nadu. However, the animal was saved in time thanks to the efforts of determined forest workers.

The adult elephant became lost in a wetland in Gudalur, Nilgiris, and its weight prevented it from escaping on its own. While the pachyderm attempted to get out, it continued to tumble further into the marsh. As a result, forest department employees took it upon themselves to assist the creature.

The forest officials were observed attempting to bring out the giant beast with the help of a rope. The elephant also made every effort to hang on to it while being hauled out. The Nilgiris monitoring officer, Supriya Sahu, released the video, the Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Climate Change, and Forests in Tamil Nadu. She also stated that the 25-year-old elephant “did not give up and demonstrated remarkable fighting power to escape from the swamp clinging on to the rope thrown by her rescuers.”

She then tweeted an image of the seven individuals that saved the elephant, praising the enormous efforts of the crew that completed the mammoth mission.
