Cameron Diaz Admits She ‘NeverWashes Her Face’: I’m a “Beast”

Cameron Diaz has long abandoned Hollywood beauty norms, revealing that she follows a more natural routine that does not include a bevy of skincare routines.

Cameron Diaz is as stunning as ever, but she has boldly abandoned many of Hollywood’s lofty standards. Cameron claimed she “never” washes her face anymore, despite possessing a “billion” personal care products, in an interview with Michelle Visage on her new BBC podcast Rule Breakers.

“I am undoubtedly a victim of all of the societal objectification and exploitations that women face,” says the 49-year-old, who has reportedly turned down nearly $100 million in film offers in recent years. “I’ve bought into all of them at different periods.” Furthermore, Cameron referred to Hollywood as “such a trap” and claimed to have no remorse.

“It’s difficult not to, it’s difficult not to look at yourself and compare yourself to other markers of beauty,” The Holiday star admitted. “[A]nd I think that’s one of the most important things, the last eight years, girl… I’m like a beast, I’m like a savage animal!”

Cameron stated that, in the end, she doesn’t care as much — and that, in and of itself, has been incredibly liberating. “What I look like is really the last thing I think about on a daily basis… like maybe not at all during the day,” she admitted.
The Charlie’s Angels star, who is married to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, 42, revealed that she scrubs her face “twice a month” for good measure. “I’ll think to myself, ‘Oh, I should put this on.'” ‘Doesn’t it work the first time?’ Is that all I’ve got to do? “I’m just not in that position right now where I’m putting any energy,” she explained, adding that her biggest concern right now is to stay “strong” and take care of her body as best she can.
Aside from her low-key departure from Hollywood, Cameron also co-founded her own wine label, Avaline, with pal Katherine Power. Her wines are all prepared with organic grapes, are free of added sugars and colors, and are vegan-friendly.
