Baki Hanma, the anime adaption of Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre manga, will have a second season, Netflix announced on Thursday.
The new season will center on Pickle, an ancient, primitive-era warrior.
Baki Hanma is the 3rd Baki series on Netflix and the sequel to Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen. The anime premiered on Netflix worldwide in September 2021, with all 12 episodes available.
Netflix describes the anime as follows:
Baki Hanma and his father, Yujiro Hanma, known as the “strongest creature on Earth,” finally clash in a full-fledged battle. The Baki universe’s climax, which depicted the “strongest parent-child brawl in world history” in the original manga, has been acclimated into the long-awaited anime!
The new anime adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Baki (New Grappler Baki: In Search of Our Strongest Hero) manga debuted on Netflix in Japan in June 2018. It ran for 26 episodes until December 2018. Outside of Japan, Netflix released the first 13 episodes in December 2018, followed by the first season’s second half in March 2019.
The Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen anime then premiered globally on Netflix in June 2020, with all episodes available simultaneously.
