An old video of a swordfish assailing a diver has gone viral

The saturation diver, Paolo Eduardo, was attacked by a swordfish, and the video is quite frightening.

The ocean may appear to be all nice and blue from the sunny shore, yet there are animals buried beneath the countless waves that are entirely incomprehensible. If you are afraid of deep water, we recommend proceeding with caution. A video from 2016 that depicts a swordfish assaulting a saturation diver is resurfacing.

According to accounts, the diver, Paolo Eduardo, was repairing some equipment on a diver-support vessel named Wyatt Candies for a subsidiary of the Dutch multinational Fugro. A swordfish attacked him from behind while he was 220 meters below. Fortunately, Eduardo was uninjured when the swordfish jammed its beak in the diver’s equipment strapped to his back.
The 1.5-meter-long fish is one of the fastest-moving species in the ocean. They attack victims using a side-slashing movement of their sword-like beak.

“When saturation diver Paolo Eduardo performed a minor underwater repair on the seabed deep off the coast of Brazil, he didn’t expect a swordfish to come up behind him and impale itself on his bail-out equipment,” the caption stated.
The video has received over 21k views and numerous reactions. People were taken aback by the unexpected onslaught. Many people inquired about the diver’s and the fish’s health. Some people have written about how dangerous undersea activities can be.
Eduardo was unharmed during the encounter, and the fish eventually wriggled free of the breathing apparatus.
