In the course of Nation Building and Youth empowerment, Union Bank of India has taken a new initiative as National General Awareness Quiz Competition 2022- U Genius.
Under this activity Mumbai City round was organized by the Union Bank of India at Birla Matoshree Hall, Marine Lines, Mumbai, where 420 teams consisting of 840 students from about 240 Schools from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and surroundings participated.
The competition was organized in 2 phases Preliminary Round and City level final round for Mumbai City, Total 6 teams were qualified for the city level final round to compete.
Shri Nitesh Ranjan (Executive Director) was the chief guest and Smt. Sona Seth, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya was invited as guest of honor in the program.
The program was also chaired by Shri Lal Singh (CGM-HRM), Shri Yogendra Singh (FGM, Mumbai), Dr. Chetna Pandey (DGM-HRM), Shri Rajiv Tiwari (DGM) and Shri Govind Jha (DGM).
The speakers have apprised the students, parents and the teachers about the Current scenario towards Education and the importance of the Banking in the current market conditions.
The journey of Union Bank of India from its inception to till date was also the part of the event which catches the attraction of the audience.
Presentation was given about the various products of the Bank such as Education Loan, Gold Loan, Home Loan and Digital products during the event.
The students Krishiv Chhabria, 11th and Hriday Adani, 12th from HFS International School, Powai have won Mumbai City round of U Genius and team from Universal High School, Thane became Runner-up.
The winners have been awarded with City round rolling over trophy for the school, Individual trophies for winners and runner-up, along with the certificates and mementos to all the participants, which was distributed by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
The winning team will participate in Semi-Finals and further finals which is going to be held at Mumbai in November-2022.
Winning teams from 23 other cities will also be part of the Semis & Finals at Mumbai and we will get the national winners of the Quiz competition U Genius for 2022.
