Ather Energy, India’s first intelligent electric scooter manufacturer, today opened its first Experience Centre – Ather Space – in Madurai’s Alavai Nagar.

The introduction of the new and improved Gen-3 450 platform has piqued the curiosity of a broader variety of consumers in the state. We can now meet consumer demand in Madurai thanks to the new Experience Centre. We have also strategically invested in ramping up our supply chain to match the increased demand across the country, which has resulted in a considerable reduction in waiting times across the state.”

Mr. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, stated on the occasion,

“With major disruptions happening in traditional mobility, it’s not a surprise that the pace at which e-mobility is becoming the norm, especially in the two-wheeler space. Ather is doing phenomenal work at developing charging infrastructure throughout the country, mitigating range anxiety. With ARC Group’s expertise, I’m sure we will create a great experience for our customers. ARC Group is glad to associate with such pioneers and game changers in technology and design.”

Ather Energy has a long history with Tamil Nadu and has continued to invest strategically in the state to create a favourable ecosystem for EVs.

Ather built its first Experience Centre in Chennai in 2019, and the brand began operations at the Hosur manufacturing facility in 2021, responding to demand from across the country.

The business has made significant investments in improving the state’s public charging infrastructure, including the installation of 50+ Ather Grids, Ather’s rapid charging network.

Ather Energy is one of the few OEMs that invests in charging infrastructure as well.
The company has already placed three fast charging points, Ather Grid, in Madurai and wants to add another eight to ten throughout the city to strengthen the charging network.
Ather Energy also helps customers install home charging systems in their apartments and buildings. Ather Energy currently has over 500 Ather Grids installed around the country.
In Madurai, the ex-showroom price for the new Ather 450X after the Fame II modification is INR 1,58,872 and INR 1,37,362 for the Ather 450 Plus.
