Through a series of briefings, presentations, and a demonstration of the cultural experience of perfume manufacturing, the successful events positioned the emirate as a top tourism destination for leisure, business, and incentive travel.

This was followed by exclusive networking meals for important industry executives and buyers at The Oberoi (New Delhi), ITC Gardenia, a Luxury Collection Hotel (Bangalore), and Four Seasons (Bangalore) (Mumbai).

Throughout the week-long schedule of events, DCT Abu Dhabi highlighted key destination highlights to help familiarise industry professionals with the many exciting experiences on offer at the destination, including Abu Dhabi’s leading leisure and entertainment destination, Yas Island, which is home to award-winning theme parks such as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

DCT Abu Dhabi stakeholders also reviewed the timeframe for new developments, as well as the spectacular events planned for the UAE capital, such as the debut of Broadway musical The Lion King, the UAE’s first-ever NBA games, UFC 281, and a Diwali performance by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman.

The event, organised by DCT Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) in collaboration with the Experience Hub, will now be held on an annual basis, underlining the importance of the Indian market to Abu Dhabi’s inbound tourist strategy.

“It was an honour to meet our valued travel trade partners in India and showcase everything that Abu Dhabi has to offer, India is consistently one of the emirate’s top abroad markets and one of the main source markets for MICE tourism in Abu Dhabi. Our visit this month was intended to support our valued stakeholders by raising awareness of the destination, meeting with our targeted corporates and leading MICE agencies, and introducing our enhanced Advantage Abu Dhabi Meetings & Incentives program and our new MICE Agency Reward scheme, both of which are designed to help us continue to stand out in the region.

Whether it’s the calm of Al Ain or the thrills of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi has something for everyone to enjoy at their own speed. We are looking forward to hosting more Indian visitors this year, especially with the exciting programme of events we have planned for 2022 and beyond.”

said Mubarak Al Shamisi, Director of ADCEB.

“We are always delighted to meet our valued network of travel trade and MICE partners and share the latest updates about Yas Island and our portfolio of offerings, events, and experiences tailored specifically for the Indian market, We are committed at Experience Hub to providing trade partners with knowledge and insight into everything the destination has to offer, and we look forward to strengthening our relationships as we prepare for an exciting season of spectacular entertainment, musical performances, sporting fixtures, and exhilarating events.”

said Liam Findlay, CEO of Experience Hub, Yas Island’s trade and promotional arm and a Miral subsidiary.

Over 7,000 individual meetings were held across the three cities during the Visit Abu Dhabi Roadshow. All attendees were also eligible to win one of twenty vacation packages to Abu Dhabi.
