THE COMIC BARK ADVENTURES

HOW I WENT FROM A VETERINARY NURSE TO PUBLISHED AUTHOR I have always loved writing, but I never thought I would be a published Author. I am over the moon excited to hold the very first book in my hands. To me it is a huge accomplishment and even better then that… I get to help people with their K-9’s through my work, in a fun and adventurous way! How cool is that, it is like a dream come true!!! I can’t give enough thanks to my Husband Joe, for being so supportive and loving, to Dexter Paul for putting up with all of the photos and being such a good boy and of course, everyone that has helped me learn so much in the very amazing, challenging and rewarding field of Veterinary Science!

Before the Pandemic hit the World, I was working as a Veterinary Nurse. Then like so many others I was laid off from my job. I guess at that point I thought it was a good time for a change. I loved my job, the Dr. I worked for and of course, all of the patient’s. So naturally I wanted to still have a Career that had something to do with animals. After having countless discussions with my Husband. I decided to start writing informational books about K-9’s, but I didn’t want to write a boring informational book. Then I thought, they need to be fun and keep the attention of the reader. That is how I came up with writing them in a Comic Book style. I call them “Comic Barks” . They are a different style of Comic Book. They are informative books for Children and Adults. The main Character is Dexter Paul and they are written from His point of view. So basically Dexter Paul is the Author and all of the Comic Barks are written from a K-9’s point of view. These books have Tips and Tricks to help with raising a K-9 companion. Dexter Paul goes on adventures and meets new friends.

This will be an ongoing series with the very first Comic Bark due to be released in early 2021, so very soon! The Books will be all about a K-9’s life, from Puppy hood up through Senior life.

I have also created some other pages for Dexter Paul on Social Media so people can ask questions about their K-9 buddies.

Dexter Paul is a 4 year old Aussie/Lab, I adopted him from an animal shelter when he was just 10 weeks old.

I don’t have the exact release date for the 1st Comic Bark yet, but do update my pages frequently.

Please follow Dexter Paul on Facebook. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we have been working so hard on. We will have a link for the presale of our first book very soon.
