My Home India awards ‘One India’ award to famous singer Lashram Mema
Known as “Melody Queen of Manipur”, Laishram Mema has won another award and bagged it in her kitty. Although a student of classical music, she has communicated very successfully through all the halls of music. Sahastrabuddhe also said that the famous singer ‘Laishram Mema’ from Manipur is known as one of the most versatile singers in the world.
Meanwhile, famous singer ‘Laishram Mema’ was honored by Vinay Sahastrabuddhe with a badge of honor and a cheque. Special guests on the occasion were Padma Shri Award winning singer Anuradha Poudwal, Ajay Kumar Jain of Saraswat Bank, Founder of My Home India Sunil Deodhar, President Dr. Harish Shetty was also present on the occasion
My Home India, a non-governmental organization, works to unite Northeast India’s people with the rest of India and achieve national unity. This year, the organization has provided food and essential items to more than 5,000 citizens of Northeast India every month during the Corona period. Laishram Memashe not only has a rich magnificent voice and a great performer, but she is also a promoter of music. She established Sangeet Kala Academy in Assam and Cultural Training institute in Manipal
The governor of Manipal Honoured her with “Manipal State Award” during the Republic Day 1980.
She has a book written on “Sur Vigyan” which is the textbook of music in Manipal recognized by Govt.
She has given programs in various cities of UK and African nations
She is introducing music classes in every state and college which will bring popularization of music and help in building aura and integrity across the country
