The Body Shop India was awarded in two major categories in the 17th Retail Asia Awards.

The Body Shop India as Retailer of the year award in the Health & Beauty category,The Body Shop India also bags E.S.G. Initiative of the Year for Project N.A.R.I.

The Body Shop India, an international personal care brand, has been felicitated in two categories at the Retail Asia Awards. They have been recognized as Retailer of the Year in the Health & Beauty category and E.S.G. Initiative of the year for Project N.A.R.I. at the 17th Retail Asia Awards 2022. The prestigious annual event sees the region’s best retailers come together and recognizes outstanding/innovative retail initiatives.

British cosmetics brand, The Body Shop has had a presence in India for over 16 years now, and it looks at India as a critical market. Partnering with various associations to gain a wider reach, the British brand entered the Indian market in 2006, opening its first store in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Today, it has over 200 stores across 30,000+ pin codes in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III cities. The latest awards add to the numerous accolades.

For the E.S.G. initiative category, The Body Shop’s project N.A.R.I. fetched the brand its second award at the event. A grassroots initiative for women waste pickers in association with P.F.C. Foundation, Bengaluru, Karnataka, N.A.R.I. focuses on four key pillars – Nutrition, Ability, Retraining, and Inclusion.
Maintaining a commitment to working towards social/environmental causes, the brand believes in using its voice to create a positive impact. It has successfully executed 15 C.S.R. initiatives across multiple categories. One of these includes driving sustainability in the market.

The Body Shop India is on a mission to recycle 1 million plastic bottles by 2024 through its Return, Recycle, Repeat program. The brand is calling upon all store visitors to pledge to be a Changemaker by advocating for and taking personal action toward Plastic recycling. The Body Shop has been recognized on many platforms, including The Vogue Beauty Award for its Shea Body Butter in 2021, I.I.F.A.’s Ethical Beauty Partner Award in 2020, and the Amazon Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards for its Vitamin- C moisturizer and Japanese Matcha Tea face mask in 2019.
