Jimeet Gandhi made a LinkedIn article to his mother, speaking about her struggle and strong spirit. She faced two deadly diseases, cancer and despair, but she never gave up hope. After losing her spouse at the age of 44, she discovered love again at the age of 52 and married him. Her son’s touching Facebook post has gone viral.
Jimeet Gandhi wrote a lengthy post on LinkedIn on his mother’s challenges and hardships. She, on the other hand, didn’t let anything dampen her spirit. Jimeet referred to his mother as a “fighter” and a “warrior.”
“She lost her husband in 2013, while she was only 44 years old.” In 2019, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She had many chemo sessions and came back roaring after two years. While undergoing cancer treatment, she became infected with the Delta variety. She has suffered from anxiety and sadness for as long as I can remember. She was mostly alone in India while we pursued our #careers elsewhere. She, on the other side, did not give up. She fell in love. She resolved to defy all stereotypes and taboos in Indian society by marrying someone she adores. She discovered love at the age of 52. She is a fighter. She is a sassy fighter. She is my mother. If you are of my generation and have a single parent, please support their desire to find companionship. “Love and #mentalhealth come first (sic),” the message said.
Jimeet stated that his mother was first afraid to disclose information about her relationship with him, so she notified his wife first.
On February 14, the pair married in Mumbai.
