Sanjana Khandelwal, please elaborate on your journey as the Co-founder of Zevarking

Bonded by unconditional trust and perfectly complementary skills, these college friends now an amazing husband-wife duo(Mr. Prerit Khandelwal and Mrs. Sanjana Bajaj Khandelwal) were born to be creative partners & desired to build a venture together. And this is how Zevar King- a homegrown jewelry brand came into existence.

Personally, my journey as a founder of Zevarking has been extremely interesting, innovative, and full of learning at the same time. 

Giving my journey a start, I did know something for sure and that is I wanted to pursue a career in something I am addicted to and love it. And this is how with 3 years of experience in the jewelry industry I gave my passion and obsession a start with my jewelry brand named Zevarking. My vision for my brand was always clear and as a founder with the same vision and mission, I started bringing new varieties and jewelry designs to my customers.

Apart from this, in my new journey understanding my customer needs, and demands, and studying new trends have always been full of challenges but yes as said” With great powers comes great responsibilities”.Open to learn more, grow more.

What challenges did you face in your initial startup?

Struggles and challenges are a never-ending process but what’s important is how we overcome them and stand high to still face and find the best solution. Like any other homegrown brand, Zevarking has faced difficulties in its initial stage and still faces them sometimes, but with hard work and determination, they now know how to face any odds that come their way.

The biggest challenge was inventory management, making the product relevant and affordable while ensuring we were on top of our game with respect to quality and customer experience. Another challenge is also competing with the big sharks directly/indirectly and establishing a loyal customer base.

What is the specialty of Zevarking, and what do you do to engage your customers?

Zevarking as a brand aims to bring uniqueness and versatility to every piece that individuals can wear & adorn in their style. Mother Nature completely inspires every piece of jewelry. The colors the brand uses in its exquisite designs represent a connection with nature. The beauty of the birds, the flora, and fauna, have always deeply inspired the founders, and keeping this in mind the Rainbow collection is one such example where the stone’s color reflects the VIBGYOR. We capture a lifestyle that attempts to mirror the NATURE aspect of one’s life making it relevant for women and men of all ages, with a strong focus on quality, affordability & reach. 

What ties you to Zevarking as the fastest-growing jewelry brand?
Zevarking is a baby to me, looking at it and how beautifully it is growing drives us and motivates us. Speaking about what ties me to Zevarking as the fastest-growing brand is we always follow the trend and try our customers to be trendsetters. Each and every collection on our website has a different meaning and is connected with every occasion of your life. We try to bring new varieties for our customers every month. Deriving inspiration from childhood nostalgia, we recently launched our bright, colorful collection “Candyland” which aims to bring back all your happy moments this summer and also has a lot in the pipeline.
What are your thoughts on the homegrown brands that are developing in India?
The homegrown brands have massively grown in India, especially during the COVID times and surely post COVID. Brands, majorly in the category of health and nutrition, skincare, fashion, and jewelery among others, have seen a major growth post-pandemic period.  These homegrown brands are thriving in a competitive market and are giving a boost to local manufacturers and players in the industry. This shift has occurred because people today trust home-grown companies that offer products at a competitive price and understand the tastes and needs of an Indian buyer
However, the rise in homegrown startups is giving a push to small entrepreneurs and especially the women to be new-ege entrepreneurs to be financially dependent and self-reliant.
What is your take on promoting the lifestyle industry?
The lifestyle industry is fast-emerging and growing tremendously. Our new-age generation is too fashion-forward and definitely loves to always either be a trendsetter or go according to trend and this has led the lifestyle industry which comprises a lot of industries in it from fashion to beauty to jewelery to skin industry to grow in numbers.
