Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), Gurgaon Chapter, presented a comprehensive two-day workshop on “Everyday Leadership Skills Development.” The event aimed to hone practical leadership and management skills through interactive in-person sessions, facilitated by the renowned Prof. Raghuvir Singh, Vice Chancellor of TMU.
Unraveling Everyday Leadership Excellence: The workshop, spanning 12 intensive hours, cultivated an authentic leadership style while aligning personal purpose with the mission of one’s business. Prof. Raghuvir Singh, an esteemed expert known for his dynamism and versatility, guided participants through the nuances of everyday leadership, including topics like “Connect then Lead,” “Concepts of Leadership & Leadership Assessment,” and “Leadership Practices & Principles.”
The workshop delves into vital leadership areas, addressing “Leader’s Boundaries and Leader’s Blind Spots,” “Leadership for Emotional Climate and Brain Function,” and “Understanding Your People and Leading Them and Your Organization.” Additionally, participants explored the intricate workings of a leader’s mind in the “Mind of a Leader: MSC Leadership” segment.
There were many key takeaways from the sessions. Mindfulness, Selflessness and Compassion are great ways to enrich team members’ engagement in achieving the productive missions of the organisation.
Distinguished Inauguration Ceremony: The workshop’s inaugural was graced by two distinguished speakers from the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD). Prof. R.S. Antil, Chairman of ISTD, pondered upon theories of motivation, styles of leadership, and time management. While Mukul Jain, a Member of ISTD, shared the key ingredients of a good leader. Their insightful perspectives illuminated the significance of leadership skills in today’s dynamic world.
