Serena Williams blasts the New York Times for using a photo of her sister Venus in a story about her

Serena Williams chastised The New York Times for using a picture of her sister Venus Williams instead of her in an article on her. The NYT Business responded to her tweet, stating it was an error.

Serena Williams chastised The New York Times for using a picture of her sister Venus Williams instead of her in a piece published on Wednesday. Serena Ventures, Williams’ early-stage startup investing firm, had raised a $111 million initial round. The New York Times covered it, but instead of using her photo, they used one of her sisters. The “glaring mixup” not only infuriated the tennis player, but also prompted fans and followers to take to Twitter to address the issue.

Serena Williams tweeted a photo of the news item with the caption, “No matter how far we come, we are reminded that it is not enough.” This is why I donated $111 million to @serenaventures. To assist the founders who are neglected by entrenched systems that are blissfully ignorant of their prejudices. Because I, too, am overlooked. @nytimes (sic), you can do better.”

This release is articulated by Prittle Prattle News in the form of an authored article.
