Delhi Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS) celebrates its golden jubilee with Smiling Tree.

The Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), a non-profit organisation under the welfare unit of Delhi Police, is celebrating its golden jubilee.

The PFWS is organising a mega event and observing a PFWS Week from April 1 to 7 across all the ten welfare centers. As part of the celebrations a T20 cricket match was held today on 2nd April morning between Delhi Police XI vs PFWS at Roshanara Club, Delhi. Commissioner of Delhi Police Mr. Rakesh Asthana also participated and was the chief guest.

Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, founder Smiling Tree, honored CP, Mr. Asthana by gifting him a plant. On the occasion Smiling Tree gifted around 70 plants to all the participants, the dignitaries of Delhi Police and their families.

Dr. Mukesh Kwatra said, “Gifting a plant is gifting life, gifting happiness, gifting hope. Smiling Tree takes pride in it.”

Established in 1972, the Police Families Welfare Society works with the sole aim of meeting financial, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs of the families of the police personnel.
Currently, the PFWS runs ten welfare centers located in Malviya Nagar, Vikaspuri, New Police Lines, Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh, Model Town, Dwarka, Jyoti Nagar, Ahata Kidara and Narela.
