Ola was chastised for her ‘poor’ clickbait ad notification, Look at viral reactions

The company’s commercial was extensively panned on social media after user Karthik shared a screenshot on Twitter. “8 missed calls from mum,” it said boldly.

Brands will make considerable efforts to market and advertise their products and services. People respond positively to commercials sometimes, but not all of the time. A similar occurrence occurred with the ride-hailing service Ola. Customers were not pleased with the company’s marketing ploy, which included an unsettling warning containing “8 missed calls from mum.”

The company’s commercial was extensively panned on social media after user Karthik shared a screenshot on Twitter. “8 missed calls from mum,” it said in big letters, “She wanted to remind you that there’s 40% off fruits and vegetables at Ola Dash.” She also wants you to avoid eating so much bahar ka khaana,” it says in the fine print.

“‘8 missed calls from mum,’ followed by a 40% off promotion!” “This is a bad clickbait from Ola,” Karthik captioned his post.

The message elicited a flood of replies from netizens, most of whom were dissatisfied, and connected it with dread.
“Why is @Olacabs traumatizing me in this way?” one person asked.
“Are you trying to give me a heart attack, @Olacabs?” another user said.
Kartik Bhatt, CEO of Sharaf Retail, originally shared the screenshot on LinkedIn. “Imagine the impact of such an advertisement on people like me who recently lost their mothers/or people who live away from their unwell mothers,” he remarked, slamming the ad. The advertisement is a clickbait ploy, but it fails to strike a chord and leaves a sour aftertaste.”
The commercial was also published on Reddit, where users criticized it for being “insensitive.”
