To celebrate Children’s Day, The Yusuf Baig Talk Show, hosted Author Monarose Sheila Pereira, known as India’s Enid Blyton.
Yusuf says, “Monarose’s name is enough to attract viewers and listeners. She is a well known writer, a visiting faculty for BMM and has written two text books for the courses in the journalism stream .
She is a think tank in her own entity. I had interactions with her in the past, however speaking to her in my talk show was a different ball game. She made me comfortable as a host, and took the conversation to the heights. I never fathomed and created the ambience of awareness and joy. She was keen at her topic and she added the real life scenarios to support her views on reading, education and lifestyle.
“I was flabbergasted by the way she spoke about the media and the news which is fed to people, and how people should read, interpret and understand it. She pointed out the parenting flaws and the generation gap, which is hampering the millennials and boomers in understanding each other. She commented on the education system, teachers students ratio in class rooms and the dying human touch in understanding literature and life in general.
“The best part of our talk was when she explained the morals in everyday kids’ stories and the effects of it in their lives. I was so overwhelmed by her answers that I invited her for a part-2 of the same show. My audience and I will be blessed to have her back on a different topic, if her busy schedule permits. I would like to express my gratitude for the time she offered to be part of my show”
