Delhi wakes up to a rainy morning, as the IMD predicts more rain and thunderstorms.

Delhi: Despite the cold and rain, protestors on Delhi's outskirts have been demonstrating for more than a month. Another round of negotiations between farmers and the Centre is scheduled for tomorrow, huddled together under blankets.

On Monday morning, thunderstorms with moderate to severe rainfall will hit Delhi and its surrounding areas.

The Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas were greeted with a rainy morning on Monday, as overnight rain pushed temperatures down. On Monday morning, additional rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in Delhi. According to the meteorological service, thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain are expected to hit Delhi and its surrounding areas in the morning.

Delhi: Palam received 39 mm of rainfall till 5.30 a.m., while the Safdarjung observatory received 40 mm. According to meteorological officials, the lowest temperature in Delhi was 28 degrees Celsius, one degree more than the season’s average. About 5.30 p.m. toward Sunday, the humidity remained 75 percent. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi at 6.30 p.m. next Sunday was 89.

An AQI of zero to 50 is regarded as ‘good,’ 51 to 100’satisfactory,’ 101 to 200’moderate,’ 201 to 300 ‘poor,’ 301 to 400’very poor,’ and 401 to 500’severe.’  Heavy rain and thunderstorms greeted residents of Delhi and surrounding regions this morning. The maximum and lowest temperatures are anticipated to climb as the Met Department forecasts light showers over the next few days. The IMD predicts maximum and lowest temperatures of approximately 20 and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
