Sometimes due to excess work, we reduce resting hours, which is a sign of unhealthiness. It is essential to get it for upto 9 hours. Especially youngsters who perform outdoor activities must rest for 8 to 9 hours a day. It provides relaxation to the body and releases tension during it. To build enthusiasm and energy, it is essential to get enough sleep. It is as necessary as consuming a healthy diet.

Hence, Lack of sleep may result in weight gain—short sleep results in obesity. Obesity has majorly seen in adults and teenagers, who sleep for 4 to 5 hours a day—good sleep results in minor calorie consumption, which increases the level of ghrelin. Good sleep increases concentration and improves productivity at work. The reason behind that is, whenever we rest after doing a heavy activity, we often get tired and last in a deep.

According to medical science, less sleep results in negative thinking and an impact on brain functioning. In senior citizens, it results in loss of memory and appetite. A person who is an athlete performs well if he gets enough rest as it increases speed and mental health, which helps to focus on the goal. Doctors suggest 10 hours to senior citizens as lack of it may result in stroke and heart disease. Our sleeping hours indirectly affect metabolism and brain function.

So, many youngsters complain about anxiety and depression due to late-night chats, social media, and excess pressure on the brain. It results in depression and tension. Proper is as essential as a healthy diet. It should me maintain to live a healthy life.
