Shehla Khan, a fashion designer, tells HZ that sustainable couture is the focus right now.

Shehla Khan: It's a good thing we've learned to disregard conventions when it comes to bridal attire.

Shehla Khan, a fashion designer, recently debuted her collection in a virtual version at the 8th Edition Vogue Wedding Show 2021, which began on March 31 and will conclude on August 31.

Shehla Khan was born into the fashion industry and spent her early college years interning with renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Her work has continued highlighted three times at the Lakme Fashion Week, featuring models such as Karisma Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandes. She has also collaborated extensively with Sonam Kapoor.

What is the theme of Shehla Khan most recent collection?

LOLA is the name of two collections that I recently introduced at the same time. One is a loungewear collection that incorporates delicate lace embellishments and satin materials to produce a group that can be worn as luxury loungewear at home as well as dressed up for an evening out. The second line is a pre-festive line that incorporates the brand’s distinctive flower design, velvet, and lace to create a capsule collection that can be worn for a variety of wedding occasions, including intimate outdoor weddings. There is a bridal look as well as looks for non-bridal guests at weddings. What color scheme do you recommend for all future brides?

It all relies on the bride and groom’s concept for their wedding attire.

It’s a good thing we’ve learned to disregard conventions when it comes to bridal attire.

Many brides opt to wear sarees on their wedding day since some feel lehengas to be too big, heavy, and difficult to manage. What are your thoughts on the matter?

It’s fantastic, in my opinion. A woman’s wedding day is her most important day, and she should only wear what makes her feel the most beautiful and comfortable.
