From La Rochelle to Paris: Excelia Tourism School Reshapes Hospitality and Tourism Studies for 2025

With specialisations in Luxury Hotel Management, Event & Restaurant Management, and Tourism Innovation, Excelia Tourism School’s latest update sets a new benchmark in hospitality studies.

Excelia Tourism School is making a bold move by expanding to Paris, bringing its globally recognized hospitality and tourism education to a new audience. Known for its industry-driven curriculum, Excelia is introducing specialisations in Luxury Hotel Management, Event & Restaurant Management, and Tourism Innovation, further enhancing its position as a top-tier hospitality institution in Europe.
The school’s latest expansion isn’t just about adding a new campus, it’s about reshaping the way hospitality and tourism professionals are trained, offering more global exposure, real-world learning, and career-focused programmes than ever before. With this update, Excelia Tourism School is setting a new benchmark in hospitality education, aligning its courses with evolving industry needs and student career aspirations.

As part of this expansion, the school is restructuring its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes into two distinct branches: Hospitality-Events, which focuses on hotels, restaurants, and events, and Tourism, covering destination and tourism management. This reorganisation aligns with industry trends and global employer expectations, ensuring students receive specialised, industry-relevant training.
Richard Ginioux, Dean of Excelia Tourism School, highlighted the importance of this restructuring by explaining that the division into two clear branches reflects how both professionals and the public perceive the sector. He also revealed that Excelia is already working on two new study tracks focused on Culinary Arts and Wines & Spirits, further expanding the school’s expertise.

A New Curriculum for Bachelor Students
Excelia Tourism School’s Bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality is designed to prepare students for operational management roles in the hotel, catering, events, and tourism sectors. From September 2025, Bachelor students can choose to specialise in either hotel management and events or tourism, following a structured three-year programme that allows flexibility and mobility between the two tracks.
With the introduction of the Paris campus, Excelia’s hospitality-focused Bachelor programme will now be available in Paris, La Rochelle, and Tours, offering students access to diverse professional networks and opportunities in different regions.
The international work placement track in Year 2 will further boost graduate employability, allowing students to gain hands-on experience abroad or in France, depending on their career goals.

New MSc Programmes Strengthen Excelia’s Hospitality and Tourism Education
Excelia Tourism School is also launching a redesigned Master of Science (MSc) programme for September 2025, following the same Hospitality-Events and Tourism structure as its undergraduate courses.
The MSc programmes are tailored for graduates aiming to become managers and executives in the hotel, catering, events, and tourism sectors. The first year focuses on core business and elective courses, while the second year allows students to specialise in their chosen field.
