Dr. Shama Hussein broached the discussion topic “ How sports inculcate pluck, grit, empathy, and bonhomie in the Kids?” by sharing an anecdote. She stressed inculcating values like grit and empathy at the early stage of the kids. She further attributed intrinsic motivations and passions as a precursor to the holistic developments of a child. Dr. Shama was of the opinion that “you can walk a mile if you have a smile”. In fact, in her opinion, the more complexities one has can have exponential progress in one’s career. One should nurture resilience and promote inclusiveness by extending bonhomie among the team members.

Ms. Vandana Teji was a great votary of “Power of Sports”. In her view, sports inculcate competitions and tremendous ‘grit’ is required to fight back in such cutthroat competition. She further added that Sports is a ‘learning-based training’. It’s the positive attitude that matters during the crisis to sustain oneself. Mr. Gaurav Sharma nicely moderated the session. The webinar came to an end with the thanks extended by the President of SPAA INDIA, Dr, Dev Arora. MANN KI BAAT SPAA .
