Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0

The much-awaited book, Snakes in the Ganga: Breaking India 2.0 was launched recently by Shri S. Gurumurthy, Swami Mitrananda and Shri Rangarajan Pandey at Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Chennai, hosted by Infinity Foundation India.

Authored by Rajiv Malhotra and Vijaya Viswanathan, the book is an audacious attempt at unveiling uncomfortable truths concerning India’s fragility.

All the dignitaries present at the event congratulated and appreciated the two authors for their book.

“This book explains the multidisciplinary ways in which India is being invaded. So this is a very important work for people who think of India“.

Shri S. Gurumurthy said that this book is a monumental work. He further said,

Swami Mitrananda praising the book said that it is one of the biggest contributions in making Indians recognize their opponents and from where they operate.

In an enlightening Q&A session that followed the launch, the authors Rajiv Malhotra and Vijaya Viswanathan discussed about the ecosystem of ideologies, institutions and young leaders that is emerging for the recolonization of India.

About the Authors

Rajiv Malhotra is a public intellectual and researcher on civilizational studies, world religions, and cross-cultural encounters.

In the 1970s, he was trained as a physicist and subsequently as a computer scientist focusing in Artificial Intelligence.

Following a successful corporate career in the United States, he became an entrepreneur, founding and running multiple IT companies in twenty nations.

As the creator of his non-profit Infinity Foundation (Princeton, USA), he has been exploring civilizations from historical, social, and cognitive sciences perspectives since the early 1990s.

He has written several best-selling books that have influenced many top intellectuals around the world.

Rajiv is also the chairman of the board of governors of the Center for Indic Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and a member of the University of Massachusetts, Boston advisory board of IIAS, Shimla.
Vijaya Viswanathan is a mechanical engineer by training and a Wharton Business School MBA graduate.
She shifted her attention to education after a successful corporate career in manufacturing and finance in the United States, Singapore, and Europe.
She received deep insights into the importance of Indic knowledge systems in modern education as she went on a homeschooling journey with her children.
Vijaya is involved in curricula, pedagogy, and mentorship activities.
Vijaya studied Vedanta as well as dharmic and civilizational philosophy as a student of Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. Vijaya is also a member of the Infinity Foundation’s board of directors.
