WhatsApp voice note has been updated with six new capabilities

WhatsApp is planning to deploy additional voice messaging services in the coming weeks. WhatsApp announced an upgrade to its voice notes functions in a blog post, making it more frictionless for its customers. Attending to a voice message above the chat allows you to multitask or react to other notes, pause/resume recording, draught preview, and much more are new features. WhatsApp initially introduced voice chatting in 2013, which revolutionized how users used the service. The unexpected improvement to the voice notes function enhances speed and usability, allowing individuals to have more expressive discussions.

  • Six new audio messaging capabilities have been added to WhatsApp.
  • Voice communications may now be listened to and recorded using new WhatsApp features.
  • The additional features will be made available in the following weeks.

There are several new WhatsApp voice messaging capabilities.

pause/recording

You may now pause and restart the recording when sending voice messages with the latest version. Playback occurs outside of the chat window. Users could not previously halt a recording in the middle and continue it later. So for any modifications, you effectively have to record a new one.

It allows you to listen to audio communications outside of the chat window, similar to how you can view YouTube videos shared on WhatsApp. You may now react to and read messages while listening to audio transmissions at the top of the screen.

Visualization of Waveforms

The playback bar will now be a waveform after this minor update. A waveform animation for voice messages is now available. The previous bar shape will be displayed in older voice messages.

Voice message draught preview

Now you may listen to your voice messages before sending them.

Playback at 1.5 or 2x speed
While listening to a voice message, you will notice a 1x symbol on the right, but you may adjust from 1.5x to 2x speed with this update. This helpful function will operate on both forwarded and ordinary voice messages. Keep playback in mind.

After pausing to listen to a voice message, you may pick up where you left off when you return to the conversation.
