The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is going to India, and marketing strategies are being developed

Maruti Suzuki is contemplating releasing the Jimny off-roader in the Indian market. The country’s largest automaker unveiled the three-door Jimny Sierra at the 2020 Auto Expo.

In an interview with the media, the director of sales and marketing at Maruti Suzuki India stated that the possibility of bringing Jimny to India is being studied. The organization has listened to market comments and is actively assessing market strategies.

The move comes as Maruti Suzuki looks to expand aggressively into the SUV (sport utility vehicle) category. The SUV segment’s proportion of the Indian automotive market has increased from 32% to 40%, although Maruti Suzuki only offers two cars: the Brezza and the S-cross. On the other writing, the endeavor has a total of 46 SUVs. According to them, there is a need to rethink the SUV market.

There has been speculation about Jimny’s local introduction for many years, as it is seen as a direct rival to Mahindra Thar.

The ‘Made in India’ Jimny, which has been made at the company’s factory in Haryana’s Gurugram since early last year, is shipped to various destinations. The latest-generation Jimny has received favorable reviews in international markets, mainly Europe and Japan. The off-road vehicle is also manufactured in India.

Jimny will most likely be available in the nation through the Nexa channel.
