WorkIndia reports that the age group between 18-30 have the maximum job seekers

WorkIndia, India’s largest blue-collar recruitment platform, it has been observed that top metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Delhi account for 4.15% and 0.49% of people aged between 18-31 and 31-40 applying for blue collared jobs respectively.

National, 30th November 2022: According to data shared by WorkIndia, India’s largest blue-collar recruitment platform, it has been observed that top metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Delhi account for 4.15% and 0.49% of people aged between 18-31 and 31-40 applying for blue collared jobs respectively.

Cities like Pune, Bangalore, and Kolkata hold third, fourth & fifth place in job applications with record data of 0.40%, 0.33%, and 0.24%, respectively. The data covers the time span from January 2022 to mid-October 2022.

Tier II cities such as Mohali have zero records of receiving job applications, whereas Nasik has just ahead with a 0.02% difference. The capital of India’s largest state Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, recorded only 0.37% of people in the age group of 18-30 who have been applying for jobs.

Cities like Patna have been on the radar for hiring more than 10,000 people this year as online marketers in the age group of 18-50.

On the other hand, a city like Ahmedabad has maintained an average rate of job applicants (0.47% to 0.49%) of people aged between 18-30 throughout the year. People aged between 41-50 in Mumbai showed the highest number of jobs hunting in June this year (11.90%). The study also reveals that more than 97% of people between the age group of 18-30 are looking for jobs in Amreli, followed by 100% in Bagalkot, Ariyalur, and Banka, proving the unemployment rate is higher in these areas.

Cities like Dehradun, Varanasi, and Kanpur have the least job applicants, as low as 0.00-0.02% in the age group of 18-30. Apart from all other sectors, the real estate sector has the maximum number of job applicants, 62.30% of whom are between the ages of 18 and 31.

Pune and Bangalore can be considered as the top cities for hirings, whereas places like Silchar, Agartala, and Mandya had zero hirings (0.00%) throughout the year. Talking about Chennai, which is one of the top metropolitans, 0.10% of people between the age role of 18-30 have recorded job applications this year.

Tier III cities like Mandi, Nalgonda, and Pithoragarh have seen zero job applicants which include all age groups. Other work departments, such as online marketing and housekeeping, have seen steady growth in cities such as Jabalpur, with current figures of 0.192 and 0.483, all between the ages of 18 and 31.
