EKA Mobility appoints Anil Baliga as President

B Anil Baliga has been named President of EKA Mobility, an electric car and technology company that is a part of Pinnacle Industries Limited.

B Anil Baliga is a talented business executive and industry veteran with over 40 years of experience in the automobile industry.

Mr. Baliga was recently appointed President of EKA Mobility and will oversee the company’s growth. He will report directly to Dr. Sudhir Mehta, the Founder and Chairman of EKA.

B Anil Baliga is a former Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Executive Vice President of Bus & Applications (VECV). During his time at VECV, Baliga was in charge of establishing the truck plant, transferring technologies, and expanding capacity.

He also successfully constructed a bus manufacturing plant and oversaw the development of specific applications for commercial trucks in several divisions at VECV.

His insights include commercial vehicle application development in many areas, high-end customised buses and ambulances, technology development, business development, project management, and asset management.

Mr. Baliga’s focus at EKA will be on commercial electric vehicles ranging from 3-wheelers to LCV Trucks in the sub-3-ton category, a whole range of buses from 9 metres to 13.5 metres, and targeting all commuter sectors.
Mr. Baliga will work closely with the installation of a state-of-the-art adaptable highly productive, smart & lean manufacturing unit capable of manufacturing the entire range with a high level of relevant automation & IT integration using Industry 4.0 and IoT.
Developing a variety of applications to address customer segments, aftermarket with a centralised online tracking system to maximise vehicle uptime in the field, leveraging AI and diagnostics, backward integration of critical aggregates, primarily electric, to supplement costs and support the “Make in India” initiative will be some of the initiatives Other significant areas in which Baliga will be actively involved at EKA are as follows.
