Chennai, 26th Jan 2022: Indian Bank celebrated 73rd Republic Day of India across its offices in the country.
At the Corporate Office, Chennai, Shri S L Jain, Managing Director & C E O unfurled the National Flag. A Guard of honour was presented by Bank’s Guards on this occasion. In his Republic Day address, Shri S L Jain highlighted the contribution made by the freedom fighters and makers of the Constitution.
He hailed the Constitution as the way of life and path for growth which stand on the four tenets of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. He also acknowledged the heroic roles played by farmers and soldiers round the clock besides making special mention of scientists, doctors, para medical personnel in the war against COVID-19.
Shri S L Jain further extended his warm greetings to the Indian Bank staff members and their families, appreciating their as well as the banking community’s remarkable contribution in keeping financial system running during these pandemic times. He also emphasized on Indian Bank’s continued commitment to digitization which is the future of banking.
Executive Directors, Shri Shenoy Vishwanath V and Shri. Imran Amin Siddiqui along with General Managers, Executives and staff members participated in the celebrations. Col T Umasankar (Veteran), Chief Security Officer, Indian Bank, welcomed the gathering.
