ZEE5 Global is the digital entertainment destination launched by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), a global Media and Entertainment powerhouse.

ZEE5 Global, the world’s largest platform for South Asian content, has announced an industry-first partnership with Indian National Student Association (INSA) UK to help bring over 50,000 students closer to their roots while they are away from home.

The INSA and ZEE5 Global collaboration will represent the best of South Asian entertainment for students across 12 institutions who will experience the rich heritage of South Asian culture during all National events hosted by INSA UK through on-ground and digital activations.

ZEE5 Global will be a part of the freshers’ event and tentpole cultural festivals like Diwali and Holi while also participating in other content promotional events.

The association also expands the vision of spreading Indian culture and ideas by building a ‘Home away from Home’ for Indian students in the UK through this first-of-its-kind collaboration across mediums like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and email groups.

Students will also be exposed to experiential activities during job fairs, orientations, cultural events, etc. to keep them updated on new and exciting releases in South Asian languages.

The six-month-long partnership will be activated from September 2022 onwards and will help INSA UK’s latest batch of students stay connected with their country and culture.

“We have always looked to stay a step ahead of the curve in engaging with the younger South Asian audiences in the UK, and this collaboration with INSA is yet another step in this direction. We will look to jointly create a strong impact through this association by building out a support system for these students that equips them with information and resources and drives a strong feeling of community and belonging.”

Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 Global, said,

“As one of the leading global premier OTT services, ZEE5 Global is INSA UK’s newest partnership. Our connections will enable us to connect their offering to the UK student community, which will benefit from both home comfort and educational content. As a channel known for its patriotic and diverse content, ZEE5 Global fits well with our India first policy. We are looking forward to helping ZEE5 Global reach Indian students through various channels, including events at students’ universities and road shows during cultural events.”

Amit Tiwari, President of INSA, says,

It has been the platform’s constant effort to deepen connection with the young audience and the recent partnership with NAAIS, a non-profit organization in the U.S working towards creating communities for Indian students living in the US, has been a sheer example of that. With the collaboration of INSA and ZEE5 Global now in the U.K.

The partnership will help more students in the country stay in touch with their culture through curated opportunities and campaigns throughout the year.
