On International Women’s Day, Ukrainian women are recognised for their bravery and tenacity

According to the most recent poll, women make up more than 15% of the regular Ukrainian army, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As the globe celebrates International Women’s Day on Tuesday, a group of heroic women has been in the vanguard of Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression.

Ukrainian women soldiers in military dress are shown wielding rifles in a video that has appeared on the internet. One of the women is overheard talking about attacking the enemy. According to the video’s transcript, the woman states, “We are Ukrainian women.” We have blessed our men in order for them to protect our land. We have already evacuated our children. Our country’s genetic fund is reliably safeguarded. We join the Ukrainian army and the men. We shall eliminate the enemy on every square inch of Ukrainian territory, in every city, hamlet, forest, and field. We will shoot you like rabid dogs for every child, woman, old man, wrecked house, street, and even barn. Ukraine, bravo! “Death to foes!”

According to the most recent poll, women make up more than 15% of the regular Ukrainian army, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kira Rudit, a Ukrainian Member of Parliament, improved the morale of women in the war-torn country.
“It’s almost past midnight in Kyiv, and International Women’s Day has arrived.” Nowadays, children usually send their mothers cards and flowers to express how special they are. Our children have been deprived of this holiday this year. They are either in refugee camps or live a long distance away from us. This year, Ukrainian ladies are carrying firearms in addition to flowers to safeguard our country and our men from Putin. I’d like to thank all Ukrainian women for standing up and fighting. Rudit was heard stating, “You are wonderful,” in a video released on Twitter.
UN Women also expressed sympathy with Ukrainian women. “Today and every day, let us remember that no matter what catastrophe we face, from conflict to climate change, all women and girls must live free and equal,” the UN tweeted.
According to the Associated Press, Russian troops have made substantial advances in southern Ukraine, while Kyiv, the capital, has been fortified by Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers. On Tuesday, the Russian invasion of Ukraine entered its 13th day.
While the origins of Women’s Day may be traced back to feminist organisations in Europe and America in the early 1900s, the day gained popularity after it was approved by the United Nations in 1977. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” with the goal of identifying women who are working to create a more sustainable future.
