KHALISTAN Movement rage for Anti –India Hatred after Canada incident

After partition and independence, the Khalistan movement occurs in the Punjab provenience. Sikhs now have separate cultural identities rather than Hindu sects. Sikhism is based on the concept of one god and has traditional spiritual teaching of community Gurus. Guru Grantha Saheba is the spiritual, religious holy book for Sikhism.

It is Indian origin religion along with Buddhism, Jain, and Hinduism. Despite religious differences in Sikhism, Hinduism triggered a Separate Nation for Sikhs as Khalistan by a religious extremist. Sikhs contributed a lot to the Indian army and security forces even in a colonial period known for their fighter community sacrifice in India. The current Canadian incident of attack on a Hindu temple is an example of a rising, challenging government security concern.

After raising the Khalistan movement, many incidents occurred in Sikh-dominated Punjab and nearby areas. The rising demand for Khaistan in the 1960s brought a different step in the 1980s. The main concern for making Khalistan is giving an autonomous state in India and then demanding separation from India. Culturally, Gurudwara is a holy place for Sikh brothers, but Gurudwara is used as a place and tool for rising fundamentalism after the rising aggressive Bhindranwale movement for Khalistan. Journelsingh Bhindranwale became popular in Punjab in the 1970s as Sikh community leaders raised his influence across the Punjab border.

He is known for his aggression and fearless attitude, highly influenced by the Khalistani version of Sikhism. A sizeable number of ordinary citizens do not initially agree with the Khalistan movement. But it becomes a political compulsion for a community leader to mark their presence across the state.

Generally, people believe that Journail Singh Bhindranwale gained importance as Congress supported him in creating a challenge for Shriromani Akhali Dal. Bhindranwale selected many constituencies’ candidate names for final approval. With rising power, Bhindranwale became an undisputed religious leader.

Anandpur Saheba Resolution came into the limelight, but the Punjab government could not resolve the issue. To curb the rising Khalistan movement, Journail Singh Bhindranwale started giving challenges the government by raising his army. As a result, the government initiated operation blue star. After the assassination, Indira Gandhi made more rising rivalry between Khalistani separatists and the government.

Many committee finding reports stated that ISI Pakistan had associated with the Khalistani movement by providing financial aid and strategical help to fight against India.

Canada has a highly populated Sikh and Hindu population along with native Canadians. Indian cultural differences made rivalry exist in India and Canada abroad.1984 Sikh riots changed the perspective on rivalry rather than solving the issue. Security agencies had input from the government regarding the rising Khalistani Anti-India movement, but no cognizance or lack of appropriate dialogue and discussion gap resulted in negativity.

The attack on a Canada-based Hindu temple was a recent example of rising enmity between two communities. Canada is a peaceful country at the international level Indian foreign affairs ministry, and the embassy should take appropriate actions on culprits to retain the sovergenity of Canada and the image of Indians at the international level.

Canadian MP Chandra Arya highlighted the increasing number of attacks on Hindu places of worship and temples in Canada. Chandra Arya, MP of Nepean constituency in the House of Commons, said antisocial elements in the recent past have engaged in acts of sacrilege and vandalism against Hindu places of worship.

ISI has many international connections with the Khalistani movement, a rising threat to Indian security. Rather than taking it lightly, it is high time for the Indian government to take appropriate actions to avoid future security conflicts.
