India’s Corruption: Corruption may be found almost anywhere these days.

Corruption certainly talk about morality and the significance of living a life based on values, but that is really for show.

Corruption is analogous to cancer in public life, which did not grow so prevalent and pervasive suddenly, but over time.

A country where luminaries such as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Lai Bahadur Shastri, and Kamraj were born and led a value-based life is today plagued by corruption. When we talk about corruption in public life, we talk about corruption in politics, state governments, central governments, “business, industry, and so on.”

Corrosion is most visible at public dealing counters in almost all government agencies. If someone does not pay for the task, it is virtually sure that it will not be completed. People have developed an insatiable need for money, and they will go to any length to obtain it. They certainly talk about morality and the significance of living a life based on values, but that is really for show.

Their inner voice is much different. It is always pleading for money. It has been observed that the personnel tasked with investigating corruption are corrupt themselves. Our leaders are not any less crooked. As a result, the network of corruption continues unabated. Breakdown may be found even in the recruiting department, where appointments are made through reputable intermediaries.

The relationship between politicians and bureaucracy is quite complex. There is also a nexus between criminals and cops. Everyone knows that criminals have no morals. Therefore we can expect nothing positive from them. However, police are intended to be a representation of law, order, and discipline.

They, too, are involved in corruption. That is heightened because they have public authority and face no consequences despite complaints and substantial evidence of abuse of office, atrocities, and high-handedness. Sin can be motivated by either necessity or greed. Better governance can, at the very least, assist in reducing need-based crime.

Better control can also reduce greed-based corruption since the punishment for the corrupt is more effective and timely in a well-governed society. Steps should be taken to improve the overall situation.

Declarations of government workers’ property and assets are made mandatory, and routine and surprise inspections and raids are undertaken at regular intervals.
