This event is well-known in Northern India, and it is known as Navreh in Kashmir. Gudi Padwa is the foremost day of the Hindu New Year in Maharashtra, and Ugadi is the first day of the celebration in Andhra Pradesh.
When is Chaitra Navratri in the year 2022?
Chaitra Navratri will begin on April 2 (Saturday) and go through April 11 this year (Monday). Ashtami will be commemorated on April 9, while Navami will be honored on April 10.

- Day 3 of Chaitra Navratri is April 4, 2022. (Monday) Tritiya: Devotees traditionally perform Gauri Puja, Saubhagya Teej, and Chandraghanta Puja on Day 3 of Navratri.
- Day 4 of Chaitra Navratri is April 5, 2022. (Tuesday) Chaturthi: Devotees perform Kushmanda Puja and Vinayaka Chaturthi on Day 4 of Navratri, also known as Chaturthi.
- Day 5 of Chaitra Navratri is April 6, 2022. (Wednesday) Day 5 is dedicated to Naag Puja, Lakshmi Panchami, and Skandamata Puja.
