Mr. Chowdhury told reporters at his house that the BJP-led federal government made numerous promises following the repeal of Article 370, but nothing came of it. The Bengal Congress president went on to say that several of the politicians invited to Thursday’s conference were placed under house arrest following the repeal of Article 370 and that others were also associated with separatist forces. “…as a result, they are now releasing leaders from prison and enabling them to engage in discussions.

Nobody has forgotten that in the recent past, leaders of this party (BJP) associated some of them with separatist forces, labeling them as members of particular gangs, “He stated. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that the BJP-led federal government’s denial of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and the Covid-19 vaccination scandal had brought disgrace to the country. Banerjee remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with several Jammu and Kashmir political parties in New Delhi.

‘I am not aware of this meeting.’ ‘I don’t even know what the meeting’s agenda is,’ she told reporters. Taking away Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood and bifurcating the state does not benefit the country, according to Banerjee, also the Trinamool Congress supremo.
