According to the IAF: Was the drone strike in Jammu a message to India, or were the Mi-17 helicopters stationed in the technical area the intended targets?
According to the IAF appears to believe the latter. According to a copy of the Jammu Police FIR obtained exclusively by News18, IAF officers think the parked choppers were the intended targets.

After approximately six minutes, another explosion was fired “by an unknown drone as part of a well-planned conspiracy,” according to the report.

Agencies are also looking into if the attack on Hafiz Saeed’s university is linked to the events in Jammu. “If ISI believes India had anything to do with the bomb at Hafiz’s college and if Jammu is a retaliation strike, it is a topic of investigation,” a source added.
Meanwhile, investigators are awaiting the results of a forensic lab test to determine whether RDX was used in the IEDs. A technical study is also being carried out to prevent the Jammu airport’s internet band mobile usage pattern from continuing. This, investigators believe, might give some information, mainly if the drone depended on the internet to send live photos to its operators.
