Top News: 1,000 Made in India drones illuminate Rashtrapati Bhavan

The breathtaking aerial formations were created as part of the Beating Retreat ceremony practice.

On Tuesday evening, Republic Day eve, the sky over Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi was lit up with vibrant drone formations.

The drones were first seen rising in the sky in the colors of the Indian national flag in videos and images. They then slowly formed a globe and rotated in the air, mimicking the movements of the Earth. The world quickly disintegrated into a map of India. Drones also outlined the National War Memorial.

Drones are also seen in the images forming the words “75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” in saffron, white, and green. On 12th March, 2021, the government launched the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative to “celebrate 75 years of progressive India and its glorious history.” The 75-week celebration will end on August 15, 2023.

The images of the drone formations have gone viral on social media. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, appreciated the synchronized drone presentation on Twitter. “Awesome demonstration of India’s drone potential!” Scindia stated the following.

According to ANI, the formations made possible by 1,000 Indian-made drones were part of the rehearsal for the Beating Retreat ceremony, which will take place on January 29 at Vijay Chowk. The Beating Retreat ceremony concludes the week-long Republic Day festivities.
