Media Tribe To Spearhead Aam Aadmi Party’s Digital Media Campaign During BMC Elections

These days, most political parties understand the importance of representing themselves well in the ever-expanding digital media space. Aam Aadmi Party, which is in power in Delhi for the last two terms, will be contesting in the upcoming BMC elections. To make their presence felt on this fairly unknown turf, the party has hired the services of Media Tribe, one of the leading digital marketing agencies in the country.

Media Tribe, which was launched in the year 2016, has experience in handling clients belonging to different industries. In the political space, they have managed the digital media space of many prominent personalities including AIMIM’s Waris Pathan and Samajwadi Party’s Rais Shaikh. Media Tribe’s co-founders Rima Mishra and Sunil Gupta, along with their team, are working on putting together an elaborate plan for AAP’s digital campaign in Mumbai.

Talking about the same, co-founder Rima Mishra says, “We had handled the digital promotions for Aam Aadmi Party during the Goa elections as well, so we have a fair understanding of how to project them in the online space. AAP has been a political party that has been able to reach out to a large number of people with limited marketing in the past. Now that we have come on board to promote them during the BMC elections, it would be interesting to track the growth in their digital presence.”

While Aam Aadmi Party has a strong foothold in Delhi and its neighbouring states like Punjab and Haryana, it does not have much of clout in Maharashtra yet. Sunil agrees to this but instead of being worried, he sees an opportunity in this.

“When a party doesn’t have much of an image or perception in a particular state, one can do a lot of interesting things to build its presence. When you have a clean slate, you get a lot more freedom. Generating interest around an unknown entity is much easier than changing somebody’s image. Our goal is to build a robust digital ecosystem for Aam Aadmi Party in Maharashtra and ensure that it gets enough visibility in the digital media space closer to the BMC elections”, says Sunil.
With heavyweights like Shiv Sena, Indian National Congress, BJP and Nationalist Congress Party around, it would be interesting to see the kind of strategies Media Tribe comes up with to help Aam Aadmi Party during the BMC elections.
