Mumbai, 2020: Rajesh Srivastava, the former president of J.K. Helene Curtis, has launched his first book, “The New Rules of Business.” It was published by Penguin India and launched by Mr.D Shivakumar, Group Executive President, Corporate Strategy & Business Development; Aditya Birla Group confirmed the team to Prittle Prattle News  via a press release.

The book unfolds the mysteries of new ways of doing business adopted by new-age companies, like Uber and Ola, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hot Star, Amazon, and Flipkart, among others. They are dismantling the “old rules” of business & installing “new rules.” The book has received a rousing response. It has gone in for a reprint. If companies continue using ‘old’ rules, then it would be equivalent to using rotatory phones in an era of smartphones. They run the risk of becoming irrelevant.

About the Author: Rajesh Srivastava graduated from IIT (Kanpur) and IIM (Bangalore). He has over three decades of corporate & academic experience. At United Spirits (now Diageo India), played a significant role in creating some of India’s most recognized, beloved, and enduring alcohol brands, including McDowell Signature, Royal Challenge, Bagpiper, and Blue Riband Duet. He became the President of J.K. Helene Curtis, where he reenergized the company & the deodorant category by relaunching Park Avenue deodorant as a ‘perfume. ‘perfume’ has become a generic benefit for the deodorant category.

Mr. Rajesh directed focus on teaching and conducting corporate workshops in 2008. As an educator, I taught at IIM Indore and S P Jain School of Global Management. As a corporate trainer, I work with prestigious companies like Siemens India, Mercedes Benz Research Centre, and Reliance Industries.
