In a hilarious equation, a student explains how Covid-19 affects studies according to Newton’s fourth law

The said, dubbed ‘Newton’s Fourth Law,’ attempted to demonstrate how Covid-19 is inversely proportional to studying.

It has been nearly two years that the world has been dealing with the pandemic, and people’s collective frustration appears to be growing. A student has now distilled that frustration into an equation, and while it may not withstand scientific scrutiny, netizens have given it their approval.

As Omicron cases continue to rise and educational institutions are closed again, a student invoked Sir Isaac Newton to explain how the pandemic affects academics. The student established how Covid-19 is inversely proportional to studying, dubbing it ‘Newton’s Fourth Law.’

“Newton’s Chautha Niyam: Corona badhta hai padhai ghat-ti hai.” Or, if Corona ghat-ta hai, tab padhai badhti hai. Arthat Corona padhai ka vyutkrimanupati hota hai (Newton’s fourth law: As Corona rises, so does study). When Corona drops, so does the amount of time spent studying. This means that Corona is inversely proportional to the amount of time spent studying).”

While making his point, the student solved an equation with ‘K’ as a variable and gagged that the constant could also be called ‘barbaadi’ (ruin).

The amusing equation was discovered when IAS officer Awanish Sharan shared the notebook page on Twitter, jokingly captioned “‘Covid Kaal ka Newton (Newton of Covid times).”
This post received a large number of likes on the platform, splitting people in two, many of whom sympathized with the student. Many people came up with so many variations of their own for the letter ‘K,’ with one claiming that it must be the election.
However, in all good fun and humor, it should be noted that Newton’s three laws of motion are the only ones that exist, and the fourth one does not exist. However, it is common to describe a fourth law that is assumed but never stated by Newton, which says that forces add in the same way that vectors do.
