Most loved to stand up comedian

  1. Vir Das -Vir began his career in stand-up comedy before appearing in Bollywood films such as Delhi Belly. In 2017, he made his worldwide debut, and his Netflix special Abroad Understanding catapulted him to stardom. The comedian continues his sarcastic admiration of India in the episode ‘Vir Das-From India,’ which was published in January 2020. Vir’s jokes, known for their wit and humour, will not only make you laugh but also make you think. And guess what else? With the coronavirus keeping us home, we have plenty of time to do so.
  2. Kanan Gill – Who hasn’t seen YouTube’s ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’? The reviews, led by Kanan Gill and his buddy Biswa Kalyan Rath, chastised Bollywood movies for producing some of the worst films. Kanan Gill is recognised for his excellent comedic timing and tone,Whether it’s Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan’s over-theatrical performance in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, or them criticising 80s films for following the motto: Din Mei Respect Karenge, Raat Ko Sex Karenge. He also has his own Amazon Prime special called ‘Keep It Genuine,’ and I never thought real could be so funny! So don’t put it off any longer. If you haven’t already, watch all of his videos.
  3. Abhishek Upmanyu – Abhishek Upmanyu is one of India’s most underappreciated comedians. From delivery of language to comedy timing to creating relevant content, this young man does it all and does it well. He has over 2.1 million subscribers on YouTube, and the amount is only growing. Abhishek handles everything with ease and humour, whether it’s chatting to friends who have had a breakup or showing the differences between Delhites and Mumbaikars. Watch his video below to make your tummy hurt with laughing. You’ll be grateful to me later for this haseen dard.
