479 students from Classroom & 66 students from DLP+Digital of Aakash+BYJU’S qualified in the KPVY fellowship
Hyderabad, June 28, 2022: A whopping 545 students of Aakash+BYJU’S, the national leader in test preparatory services, have secured a stupendous result in the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), the National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences run by the Indian Institute of Science and funded by the Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The results for the fellowship exam were announced recently.
7 students namely Anchit Chauhan and Lavanya Gupta secured AIR 3, Muralidhar Rao AIR 5, Akshat Kumar and Malay Kedia AIR 6, Adit Jindal AIR 8 and Sayandeep Bhowmick AIR 9 emerged as the top rankers out of all students at Aakash+BYJU’S who cleared the renowned national fellowship. The KVPY program is meant to attract exceptional school students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. Generous fellowships are provided up to the pre-Ph.D. level to selected KVPY Fellows by the Indian Government.

Selection of the students to KVPY is made from those studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences having aptitude for scientific research. Special groups and Committees are set up at IISc to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centers in the country. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final of the selection procedure.
The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
