Competitive tests are created and structured to assess aptitude, mental stability, technical skills, physical fitness, and other factors. These tests are given verbally, online, with pen and paper, or in a setting requiring the test taker to execute the exam with a particular set of abilities. Every year, thousands of tests are held in India; most of them are simple to pass, but just a handful are deemed problematic. The article discusses the top ten most difficult tests in India.

1. IIT JEE – JEE, or Joint Entrance Exam, is held to select applicants for admission to the country’s IIT schools. That is 1 of the several complex tests in the country, and it is separated into two parts: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students must first pass the JEE Main test before proceeding to the JEE Advanced exam. After passing the JEE Advanced test, candidates can gain admission to several undergraduate engineering programmes at prestigious universities around the country.
2. UPSC – Every year, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) holds the UPSC Civil Service Exam for IAS (Indian Administrative Service), IPS (Indian Police Service), and IFS (Indian Foreign Service) positions. It is divided into 3 stages: preliminary, major, and interview. To become an IPS, IAS, or IFS, one must pass all three levels.
3. CAT – IIM colleges throughout the country hold a Common Entrance Test to select applicants for management and business degrees. Aspirants that wish to seek a profession in management and business can take this test. Students’ CAT exam scores are taken into account by institutions that offer an MBA program. Any bachelor’s stage with a minimum of 50% marks is required to take the CAT exam. Additionally, individuals in their last year of a bachelor’s degree are eligible for this exam.
4. GATE – This test, which is equivalent to the JEE exam, is used to give admission to IIT and IIS (Indian Institute of Science) colleges. The GATE test is for postgraduate studies, whereas the JEE exam is for undergraduate courses. The GATE test scores are valid for three years from the date of the result release.
