Beautiful towns in Maharashtra

Maharashtra features a number of resorts catering to visitors and pilgrims visiting the temple.

Maharashtra is naturally gorgeous, with the Arabian Sea on its western coast and the Sahyadri mountains running across it. Here is a list of eight of Maharashtra’s most beautiful places, ranging from calm, white-sand beach towns with old temples to lush, pollution-free hill regions.

Nighoj Maharashtra
Due to naturally-created pockets – or depressions – in the rock alongside the river, this small town beside the river Kukadi in the Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra has drawn geologists from all over the world. Even if you aren’t interested in the process that led to its birth, the phenomena is nonetheless a beautiful sight to see. The Malganga temple, which is located along the river, is a must-see.
Ganpatipule

One of Maharashtra’s cleanest white-sand beaches is found in this small seaside community. A 400-year-old idol sprouted up from the earth at the Ganpati temple near the shore, according to locals. Despite having a population of less than 500 people, the area features a number of resorts catering to visitors and pilgrims visiting the temple.
Matheran

Matheran about two hours west of Mumbai, is nature in its purest form, according to the town’s zero-pollution and no-motorized-vehicle policy. The town’s famous toy train, as well as the several climbs available, have contributed to its popularity among tourists and Mumbai residents looking for a vacation from the city.
Diveagar

This modest coastal community surrounded by orchards exemplifies Maharashtra’s distinct charm, blending the finest of the sea and environment. The Roopnarayan Temple, which houses a 900-year-old idol of Lord Vishnu, is also located in the town. The town’s modest, but lively, and mainly environmentally friendly market is definitely worth seeing.

Khandala is a renowned hill station in Maharashtra and one of the most popular weekend getaways from Mumbai and Pune. This hamlet, nestled in the Sahyadri mountains, is lush, verdant, and alive with vegetation and animal. There are also numerous treks available.
